Payment Terms
1. Introduction
These Payment Terms ("Terms") govern the payment processes for transactions conducted through the Yacht Away Greece platform ("Platform"). By making a booking or listing a yacht, you ("User") agree to adhere to these Terms.
2. Payment Process
- Booking Confirmation: Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. The Platform will facilitate the transaction between Renters and Owners.
- Payment Methods: The Platform accepts various payment methods, including credit cards and other electronic payment systems as specified during the booking process.
- Currency: All transactions are conducted in Euros (€), unless otherwise specified. Users are responsible for any currency conversion fees imposed by their payment provider.
3. Service Fees
- Renter Fees: Renters may be charged a service fee, which is non-refundable, as part of the total booking cost. This fee covers the use of the Platform and related services.
- Owner Fees: Owners may be subject to a commission fee based on the total booking amount, as detailed in the Owner Agreement.
4. Taxes
Users are responsible for any applicable taxes, including VAT, associated with their transactions. The Platform may calculate and collect taxes at the time of payment, as required by law.
5. Payment Security
The Platform employs industry-standard security measures to protect Users' payment information. However, the Company is not responsible for unauthorized transactions conducted outside the Platform's secure payment system.
6. Refunds and Chargebacks
- Refunds: Refunds are processed in accordance with the Cancellation and Refund Policy. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
- Chargebacks: Users initiating chargebacks without valid reason may be subject to account suspension or termination.
7. Amendments to these Terms
The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
