Cancellation and Refund Policy
1. Introduction This Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms and conditions under which cancellations and refunds are processed for bookings made through the Yacht Away Greece platform ("Platform"). By making a booking, you ("User") agree to comply with this Policy.
2. Renter Cancellations
- Notice Requirement: Renters must provide written notice of cancellation through the Platform.
- Refund Eligibility: Refunds are subject to the specific cancellation terms applicable to the booking, as detailed in the booking confirmation. Refunds may be partial or full, depending on the timing of the cancellation relative to the scheduled rental date.
- Non-Refundable Fees: Service fees and certain charges may be non- refundable, as specified at the time of booking.
3. Owner Cancellations
- Owner Responsibilities: Owners are expected to honor all confirmed bookings. In the event of a cancellation by the Owner, the Renter will receive a full refund, including any service fees.
- Penalties for Owners: Owners who cancel confirmed bookings may be subject to penalties, including but not limited to removal from the Platform or financial penalties, as outlined in the Owner Agreement.
4. Force Majeure Neither the Company, Owners, nor Renters shall be liable for any failure to perform due to causes beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or other extraordinary events ("Force Majeure Events"). In such cases, the Company will facilitate communication between the parties to reach a mutually agreeable resolution.
5. Process for Refunds Refund requests must be submitted through the Platform's designated channels. Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe, as determined by the Company's payment processing policies.
6. Amendments to this Policy The Company reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform. Users are advised to review the Policy periodically for any updates.
7. Governing Law This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
